Scrapbooking Soccer – Fast and Easy Scrapbooking Tips
Joy Swearingen asked:
Scrapbooking
soccer is a less popular theme
than most, so it may be a little harder to find resources. The great news is that there are some fast and easy scrapbooking things you can do that can be incorporated into a soccer theme. Choose any of the following techniques to create unique soccer pages:
- Choose a picture to serve as the focal-point and accessorize with a variety of related photos. Tell a story by putting the focal point in the upper left corner. Then use smaller photos, text, and embellishments
from left to right. This would be a great way to emphasize an exciting game winning goal.
- Always mat your focal point photo. Leave other photos unmatted to draw even more attention to the focal point photo. To cut corners, do not trim away the white border that is sometimes found around photos. White is a great mat color for a soccer page!
- Instead of using an adhesive to anchor down tournament and other award ribbons, use brads. They work just as well if not better than adhesive and they fit perfectly into the soccer theme.
- Create stitching for a more authentic look. This can be done in different ways. The obvious needle and thread will give you the look you want, but sewing is not easy for some. If sewing is not your thing and you have a steady hand, use a very fine tipped pen to draw your own stitching. Rubbing decals for a stitched look are also available.
This is just a small sampling of ideas and techniques that can be used when scrapbooking soccer. Use these tips to help generate other techniques into your soccer themed pages.
