i mix the clay with wood glue but it also cracks and fragile. What can i do to make it not cracks. And may i know what’s the purpose of using so much baking soda? Thank you i am going to make it a try again.

Thanks Bronboa that’s a great idea! I’m experimenting with adding paper pulp too!

This depends on how big the piece is, how thick it is and how hot,dry and humid your climate. Thicker pieces have taken me 48hrs to dry.

I think this is how quickly you dry it. Our climate is very humid and I don’t have this issue. Try sealing it with modge podge or jo sonjas all purpose sealer.

may i ask, how long does this take to dry?

if you mix it with small amounts of wood glue it makes it less fragile, but requires a longer drying time, about 5 more hours. Plus, depending on what brand, it gives it a more yellowish look

WAY Cool! That would be a great way to bring out small details from a chocolate mould.

For cards they would be a little fragile I think. As if you drop them they’ll break so if you put them through the post they’d be shattered. I have been wondering about mixing paper pulp into this mixture to get a more cardboard type of end product but haven’t tried it yet. If it’s successful I’ll post that on my blog.

This lookis great, I want to try it myself! :) But I do have a question, how fragile are the embellishments once they’re dry? I make a lot of cards, and could these embellishments make it through the mail without breaking?
