A place where we can put the oddities about Scrapbooking

I was never going to be a scrapbooker. The scrapbook albums I saw were lovely, but the idea of cutting my photographs and then taking the time to add something those crazy people called  embellishments? Let’s just say I wasn’t a “sticker” kind of chick.

Then we adopted a son. I couldn’t find a baby book or an adoption book that had my son’s journey and I kept being told about the title”life books.” But that wasn’t what I had in mind. Every child’s story is unique.

So I went down to the little scrapbook shop and began choosing stickers, trying to find something other than those with clip art of storks and quotations about pregnancy. Eventually, I started putting together my own scrapbook overlays with transparencies so I could have really great looking looking pages about the adoption journey from the homestudy  to Adoption Day. I held my breath as I cut my photos.

Now I cannot even consider that I nearly passed up the idea of scrapbooking my babe’s story and having dismissed out on this joy.

Every child has a special story about his or her birth, but for the adopted child, the account is an exceedingly extraordinary story that needs to be recorded in their own Adoption Scrapbook. Now any mom (even the non-crafty parents) can quickly create that special adoption baby book album.

Lisa Copen hopes her struggle to find to an Adoption Scrapbook Album won’t be yours! She has created over 100 transparency overlays so adoptive mothers can easily assemble a personalized adoption scrap book for their family and child. It also makes a great gift for one who is planning on adopting!

We all know that it’s impossible to effectively try to lower flab from a specific anatomical location. Well, that’s what we used to think until this study came out of Australia. It’s not just luck when you lose 20 pounds.  http://www.fatlossfactor.com/fast-fat-burning-story/intro.php

What was discovered almost accidentally was that interval workouts target that ugly fat on your stomach. You can directly impact your waistline by working out with intervals rather than using your training sessions for crunches and other useless exercises.

Interval training coincidentally offers the additional benefits of giving you time back to your life because you don’t have to spend as much time working out with intervals as you did doing traditional cardio. What I’m describing for you is the way the Australians studied two groups: one did intervals and the other did cardio.

The entire program spanned a fifteen week period.

At the end, results showed that the cardio group got basically no benefit for thier body composition while the interval group ended up with leaner bodies, especially around the tummy. The research made us get back to the topic of spot training or the theory that you can work fat off one section of your body at a time. You can share your opinion in the weight loss forum.

Of course, this isn’t really what anyone was talking about when they were speaking of spot reductions. Intervals just happen to be the best technique of reducing flab all over the body: it just so happens it has a targeting effect in the abs.

Now when we say that targeted fat burning provides no benefit we mean that movements like crunches aren’t going to get the job done.

One scientist looked at tennis players who use one arm far more than the other. The theory was that the extra workout would target the one arm for fat burn because it worked more. The study concluded that there was not fat benefit to the arm that worked more. You’re not going to burn fat from one area just through targeting that spot with more exercise.

Just incase you were wondering, you’re going to get similar results with intervals whether you are male or female.Use intervals for rapid weight loss.
